Job summary

123Dentist’s Technology Services team seeks an Infrastructure Architect to own and evolve server, identity, cloud, and network infrastructure across a Microsoft-centric, multi-site environment. The role blends hands-on design with escalation support and project delivery.

You’ll lead infrastructure transformations, provide Tier 2/3 escalation, and guide mergers & acquisitions integration for new practices, mentoring engineers while upholding security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on IT experience.
• 7–8+ years in infrastructure engineering or senior admin roles.
• Hands-on Tier 2/3 escalation in a Microsoft-centric enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting multi-site environments; M&A/site integration a strong asset.
• Expert-level Windows Server administration and hybrid identity expertise.
• Strong Azure engineering skills (IaaS, networking, storage, backup, cost management).
• Experience with Intune and modern endpoint management; PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents; drive root-cause analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, Intune, M365, Azure, LAN/WAN, and firewalls.
• Lead major-incident response with IT and business stakeholders; communicate status to leadership.
• Mentor Tier 1/2 analysts; create runbooks and documentation to improve troubleshooting.
• Design and deliver infrastructure transformation initiatives across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Engineer and administer Microsoft Azure infrastructure including landing zone, VMs, networks, storage, backup, cost optimization.
• Lead hybrid identity initiatives (AD and Entra ID; conditional access, MFA, RBAC).
• Modernize endpoint management with Intune; automate provisioning with PowerShell.
• Lead integration workstreams to onboard acquired practices; standardize clinic infrastructure.
• Partner with IT leadership and M&A teams on due diligence and integration planning.
