Job summary

Mevotech, a leading North American aftermarket auto parts company, seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to own reliability, security, and performance of on‑prem and cloud infrastructure. This role drives modernization across enterprise systems and partners with cross‑functional teams.

You will lead Azure and hybrid cloud operations, manage VMware and operating systems, and mentor junior staff while supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT/CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments.
• Proven Microsoft Azure administration experience.
• Strong VMware virtualization expertise.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience managing enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and core infrastructure services.
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments for maximum uptime and reliability.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments across locations.
• Manage VMware virtualization platforms and virtual infrastructure.
• Support and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and availability.
• Implement standards, policies, and best practices.
• Oversee patching, upgrades, maintenance, and hardware lifecycle planning.
• Lead Azure infrastructure and hybrid cloud operations.
• Troubleshoot complex Azure and infrastructure issues.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and escalation support.
• Drive automation projects and infrastructure modernization.
