What is the role?

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, IT to lead our technology strategy and operations. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving digital transformation, enhancing cybersecurity, and ensuring that our IT infrastructure and services are robust, scalable, and aligned with our mission.

You will be a key advisor to the senior management team, a mentor to a talented team of eight IT staff, and a champion of innovation and continuous improvement. This is more than a technical role, it’s an opportunity to shape the future of technology at the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, supplemented with at least 8 years of progressive experience in IT, at least 5 of which should be in a leadership role.
  • Additional credentials such as PMP or ITIL would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, cloud platforms, enterprise architecture and compliance.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies in support of business goals
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, cybersecurity, Microsoft applications, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of all available technologies, future trends in technology and current industry standards.
