Job summary

Teladoc Health Canada is seeking an Information Security Specialist to strengthen security across systems, applications, and cloud environments. You will champion security policy, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance, partnering with stakeholders to plan and implement controls.

This role reports to Teladoc’s International Business Information Security Officer (based in Barcelona, Spain), and supports the Canada Vice President, Product and Technology, who will oversee day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable knowledge.
• 10+ years of relevant technical work experience, with 5+ years in information security.
• Experience in regulated environments; healthcare experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CISM/CISA/CISSP or ISO27001 LA are assets.
• Strong written and spoken communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
• Understanding of security frameworks and cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure).
• Hands-on familiarity with Linux/Windows, SQL, network security, and SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Champion and execute the overall corporate IT security strategy and governance.
• Align with Canadian privacy, data governance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide compliance and risk assessment support to business teams and clients.
• Lead vendor security assessments and third‑party monitoring.
• Manage information security programs including audits (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001).
• Develop security guidelines, controls, and training; oversee incident response.
• Assess SDLC for risk mitigation and secure architectures across cloud and on-premises.
