  • Strong analytics: CPM, engagement rate, conversions, ROI, and reporting dashboards.
  • Knowledge of content usage rights, paid amplification terms, and contract negotiations with talent.
  • Comfort with AI-powered tools and integrating them into reporting and workflows.

Role Overview

A Senior Influencer Marketing Manager is a lead position that oversees the overall strategy, budget, and performance of influencer campaigns. They are responsible for defining the goals, KPIs, and ROI of each campaign, as well as selecting the best platforms, tools, and influencers to work with. They also manage the relationships with influencers, agencies, and internal stakeholders, and ensure that the campaigns align with the brand's vision, values, and guidelines.

This role oversees the Influencer Marketing Specialists and Coordinators and delegates tasks that report back to the manager as they are responsible for the overall success of the strategy. This role is well versed in a full funnel influencer marketing campaign and has experience owning large scale budgets and appropriate distribution of said budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with account managers and liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Project manage all strategies to ensure all communication with clients is organized, cohesive and on the agreed upon timeline.
  • Create and implement influencer marketing strategies that are in line with the overall marketing goals.
  • Identify and engage with influencers who align with our target audience and brand values.
  • Responsibilities include handling influencer partnerships, contract negotiations, content planning, and feedback provision.
  • Own detailed campaign reporting across paid, gifted, and organic influencer programs, ensuring all deliverables, spend, and performance metrics are accurately tracked and reconciled.
  • Identify and execute whitelisting, affiliate and other amplification opportunities through partnerships.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, such as social media, creative, and PR, to establish cohesive and successful campaigns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in influencer marketing.
  • Monitor financial resources and ensure efficient implementation of campaigns within established budgetary limits.
  • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas.
  • Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team.
  • Train and guide subordinates into accomplished professionals.
  • Oversee influencer-focused events and activations, coordinating details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee lists, special guests, equipment, and promotional materials.
  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign- and creator-level metrics, including reach, impressions, engagement rate, CPM, cost per engagement, video views, conversions, and ROI, using appropriate benchmarks to evaluate performance.
  • Identify top- and low-performing creators, content, platforms, and campaign tactics; translate findings into clear client-facing takeaways and recommendations for optimization, renewal, and future strategy.
  • Maintain reporting dashboards, campaign trackers, and influencer databases, working closely with account managers and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and alignment between campaign objectives, execution, and results.
  • Establish reporting standards and guide Specialists and Coordinators in collecting, validating, and interpreting campaign data.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 4-6 years in influencer marketing, agency, or social media management, with at least 2 years in a direct managerial or supervisory role.
  • Campaign & Strategy Expertise: Proven track record of planning and executing end-to-end, full-funnel influencer strategies that map directly to brand KPIs.
  • Budget Ownership: Direct experience managing and allocating multi-figure campaign budgets, including track record of optimizing spending to maximize ROI.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Excellent client-facing skills with experience managing agency-client relationships, pitching creative concepts, and delivering performance reports.
  • Influencer Platforms: Hands-on experience using industry-standard influencer discovery, relationship management, campaign tracking, and creator workflow tools.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking: Advanced proficiency with native platform analytics, influencer marketing platforms, spreadsheets, web-attribution tools, and reporting dashboards. Demonstrated ability to calculate and interpret CPM, engagement rate, cost efficiency, conversions, and ROI; identify performance patterns; and turn campaign data into actionable recommendations.
  • Contracts & Talent Negotiation: Strong understanding of content usage rights, paid amplification terms, and contract negotiations with talent agencies and independent creators.
  • AI & Workflow Automation: Comfortable using AI-powered tools and integrating them into reporting, research, campaign tracking, and operational workflows. Experience identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes, improve data accuracy, and create more efficient systems is a strong asset.
