Job summary

IDS RECRUTEMENT seeks a skilled Scheduler/Planner to develop and manage integrated production and project schedules within a major industrial context in Canada. You will ensure alignment with milestones, client requirements, and available resources, while coordinating with engineering, production, procurement, and PM teams.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• University degree, engineering, or advanced technical training in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in planning and schedule management on major industrial projects (energy, infrastructure, oil & gas, mining, or related sector).
• Advanced proficiency with planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks and principles: master schedules, timelines, earned value management, reporting.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to documentation detail, ability to work in high-operational-standards environments.
• Strong working proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize integrated schedules aligned with delivery objectives, milestones, client requirements, and resources.
• Monitor progress of main schedules, update cadence, ensure coherence between milestones and operational constraints.
• Analyze variances, anticipate delays, recommend corrective actions, mitigate conflicts or bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project management for smooth sequencing and resources.
• Communicate schedule changes to stakeholders and produce performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with standardized planning practices and internal processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of tools and processes related to operational planning.
