Job summary

Boston Dynamics seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer to lead production concepts, layouts, and automation while partnering with cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste in fast‑paced NPI environments.

You will design plant layouts, develop capacity models, optimize material flow, and implement MES/ERP integrations. Strong project management and Lean skills are essential, with experience in robotics/aerospace environments valued.

Qualifications

BS or higher in an engineering field.
10+ years in product manufacturing environment.
5+ years in industrial/manufacturing engineering, robotics/aerospace preferred.
Experience implementing efficient production systems and leading cross‑functional projects.

Responsibilities

Lead cross‑functional projects from concept through execution with milestones and risk assessments.
Partner with production, quality, test, and manufacturing engineering to improve efficiency and scalability.
Design and implement production concepts, layouts, and workcenter workflows for scaling operations.
Develop and maintain capacity models to predict output and identify bottlenecks.
Analyze material and information flow, takt time, and line balancing to maximize efficiency.
Lead Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and 6S to drive continuous improvement.
