Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer based in one of our Ontario offices to lead instrumentation and controls design for mining and heavy industrial projects across Canada. You will guide control narratives, P&IDs, and loop diagrams while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

You will influence project outcomes from concept through completion, provide mentorship to junior staff, and ensure safety and quality throughout.

Qualifications

• Lead the design and delivery of instrumentation and control systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities.
• Oversee control philosophy, system architecture, and functional specifications for complex process systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure fully integrated project solutions.
• Drive innovation by applying advanced automation and digitalization in control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality reviews for project teams.
• Support project execution through all phases—from concept to commissioning and optimization.
• Engage with clients to understand operational needs and deliver high-value engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all deliverables.
