WSP is seeking a Lead I&C Engineer based in Ontario to provide senior instrumentation and controls design for mining and heavy industrial projects. You will influence concepts through commissioning, guiding safe, reliable operations and optimized performance.
Ideal candidates bring 18+ years of electrical design experience, P.Eng. eligibility, and strong PLC/SCADA/DCS expertise. This on-site role supports cross-disciplinary teams and client engagements across Canada.

Our teams deliver engineering and project execution excellence across the full project lifecycle—from conceptual studies and detailed design to commissioning, optimization, and beyond.
Based in one of our Ontario offices—ideally Northern Ontario, Greater Toronto Area, or Saskatoon—as a Lead I&C Engineer, you will serve as a senior subject‑matter expert in instrumentation and controls engineering for both new construction and brownfield mining, metals and other heavy industrial projects. Your work will influence project outcomes from concept through completion, helping clients operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
