Job summary

Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer with a strong background in the design of large hydro projects, dam safety reviews, and CFD-enabled analyses. You will lead hydrodynamic modeling and coordinate across disciplines in a hybrid work setting.

This role requires 10–15 years of experience, a Master’s or PhD in hydraulics or civil engineering, and registration or eligibility as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Hydrotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia or eligibility.
• 10–15 years of hydrotechnical experience with significant CFD delivery.
• Experience with dam safety reviews and complex water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse teams of engineers, designers, and drafters from concept through construction and support.
• Act as a technical resource within project teams.
• Provide progress reports to clients and senior management at regular intervals.
• Attend site visits and collect data to inform design activities.
• Lead dam safety reviews and communicate findings to clients.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and suggest improvements.
• Engage in business development activities and training.
• Mentor younger project team members.
