Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Hydrology and Hydraulic – Dams and Hydropower with a 15+ year track record in water resources and dam-related analyses.

The role focuses on client development, project leadership, and technical execution across hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental restoration efforts. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with regulatory bodies to deliver design and construction support for dam and hydropower projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
• 15+ years in water resources engineering with dam/energy focus.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large restoration projects.
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for dams and hydropower facilities.
• Ability to work with regulatory agencies, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Identify opportunities, pursue proposals, and manage project scope.
• Lead project teams, communication plans, and budgeting.
• Collect field data and analyze existing conditions for design criteria.
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses for dam safety and hydroelectric projects.
• Utilize HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLOW3D, AutoCAD, GIS for modeling and design.
• Oversee project reports, grant proposals, and stakeholder documentation.
