Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Civil with deep expertise in dams and hydropower to lead complex water resources projects in Canada. You will work as a Seller-Doer, develop client relationships, and oversee multidisciplinary teams from concept through design and construction.

The ideal candidate holds a P.Eng, 15+ years of dam and water resource experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, GIS. Travel to project sites and a flexible hybrid schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or related field; P.Eng preferred.
• 15+ years in geotechnical/civil with dam removal or water resource experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale environmental restoration projects.
• Proficient in environmental modeling software and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, GIS).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and a flexible office/remote work schedule.

Senior Engineer, Civil - Dams and Hydropower

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Civil, with a strong technical background to help deliver exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate is a proven Seller-Doer and a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with 15+ years of experience in water resources and extensive experience analyzing and evaluating dam structures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Identify project opportunities, actively pursue opportunities, and prepare proposals.
• Manage projects by establishing project deliverables, developing the project team, manage changes to project scope, establish communication plans, and monitor and control project work.
• Collection and analysis of field data, as-built plans and engineering reports to establish existing conditions and identify critical areas for design criteria.
• Manage the scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of all project phases.
• Supervise the preparation of project reports, grant proposals, and other documentation for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or a related field. (P.Eng)
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field, with specific experience in dam removal or water resource management.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale environmental restoration projects.
• Proficiency in environmental modeling software and engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, GIS).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Strong communication, technical and analytical skills
• Travel to project sites may be required.
• Flexible work schedule with both office and remote work options.

Compensation Package:

Pay Range:$165,000 – $250,000 (DOE)
