Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geological, Civil, Environmental Eng, Hydrogeology, or related field.
• P.Eng. designation or EGBC eligibility to practice in BC.
• 10+ years of hydrogeological/site engineering experience on major infra projects.
• Experience with groundwater monitoring, dewatering, and site construction.
• Experience on transportation, marine, tunnelling, or heavy civil projects.
• Solid understanding of groundwater flow, seepage, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience reviewing drawings, RFIs, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC) on major projects.
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) or support the EOR for hydrogeological works.
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction per plans, permits, requirements.
• Monitor groundwater and evaluate dewatering/recharge systems.
• Review contractor submissions (RFIs, shop drawings, plans).
• Identify issues and propose practical solutions while preserving design intent.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders through construction.
• Review monitoring data, instrumentation, and as-built docs.
• Support QA/QC, compliance, and project close-out docs.
• Prepare field reports, site observations, and monitoring summaries.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and safety initiatives.
