Job summary

A growing mining company in British Columbia is seeking a Project Hydrogeologist to support the development of a major mining project. You will provide internal stewardship of the project’s hydrological information and support decisions across geology, engineering, environmental assessment and permitting.

The role coordinates data management, QA/QC, and interpretation of consultant findings, while also supporting planning and execution of hydrogeological and geotechnical field investigations.

Qualifications

• Degree in geology, hydrogeology, geological engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of hydrogeology or groundwater experience.
• Experience with hydrogeological data, investigations and field programs.
• Experience organizing, validating, analyzing and QA/QC on technical datasets.
• Experience coordinating hydrogeological drilling programs and working with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field plans for baseline and engineering investigations.
• Co-lead hydrogeological and geotechnical drill programs and coordinate drilling contractors.
• Oversee organization and ingestion of hydrological data.
• Perform QA/QC on technical datasets and identify gaps.
• Analyze hydrogeological data and synthesize consultant findings for planning and discussions.
• Coordinate information between geology, engineering, environmental and permitting teams.
• Assist storage and visualization of technical data using GIS, 3D modelling and related platforms.
• Provide technical guidance to junior geologists and technicians during field activities.
• Document workflows and field observations for internal continuity.
