Job summary

Aviso Wealth is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Ops & Support Partners team in Canada. You will own incidents and drive automation across Windows, Linux, VMware, and Azure while contributing to platform upgrades and security improvements.

You will develop tooling with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, SaltStack, Git, and Azure DevOps, and mentor teammates in best practices and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating and engineering mid-size or larger production infrastructure.
• Azure production services experience; certification within onboarding period preferred.
• Security, patching, incident leadership, and automation experience are valued.
• Fluent English; bilingual French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own complex incidents, changes, and operational escalations across Windows, Linux, VMware, Azure, and related infrastructure.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and improve automation, scripting, and operational tooling.
• Provide design input for resilient, secure hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Strengthen controls for patching, backups, DR, monitoring, and audit readiness.
• Coach junior team members in troubleshooting and runbook usage.
