Job summary

Amentum in Canada is seeking an HVAC maintenance technician to provide intermediate expertise in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility HVAC systems in an industrial and large commercial setting. You will diagnose equipment, perform routine inspections, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering quality service to clients.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a team, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems and components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial/commercial HVAC equipment.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE; conduct safety risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Identify and correct safety issues and evaluate equipment for potential failures.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilation systems, pumps, chillers, AHUs, and related equipment.
• Utilize CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.
• Record measurements and assist in energy efficiency improvements.
