Job summary

Glentel Inc. in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as a strategic partner to district and store leadership.

The role focuses on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent solutions, supporting both business objectives and people strategy in a dynamic retail environment. The Senior HRBP will drive employee engagement, performance calibration, and HR program delivery, while coaching HR team members and collaborating across departments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of generalist experience in human resources management.
• Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development or related program – Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Specialized training in employment law, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, leadership and proactive employment relations is considered an asset.
• Certification in HR preferred.
• Knowledge of provincial employment laws and practices on a national level.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
• High level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic HR partnership to senior leaders to support business objectives and organizational performance.
• Leads complex employee relations matters and offers expert guidance to leaders on sensitive or high-impact situations.
• Advises on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
• Coaches and mentors HR team members, elevating HR capability and ensuring consistency in HR delivery.
• Drives talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and performance calibration.
• Partners with leaders to strengthen employee engagement, team effectiveness, and retention strategies.
• Analyzes HR data and trends, providing insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
• Collaborates with other departments to implement HR programs, policies, and processes.
• Supports the execution of company-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Performs other related duties as required to support evolving business and HR priorities
