Job summary

GHD is hiring a Senior Health and Safety Professional for the Canada Central Region. The role supports the HSE Team across multiple offices and projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

You will lead incident investigations, coordinate COR audits, develop HSE plans, and mentor project teams. A degree in Health and Safety and 8–10 years of experience are preferred; CRSP/NCSO assets are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety, or another related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of health and safety experience in construction, environmental services, materials testing or engineering consulting.
• Possession or pursuit of CRSP designation or equivalent is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Canada Central Regional HSE Manager in delivering the HSE Management System and initiatives.
• Provide compliance guidance across the organization with regional legislation and GHD procedures.
• Coordinate COR audits and other safety program activities.
• Lead investigations into incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement health, safety and environment plans for projects and sites.
