Job summary

The Corporation of the City of St. Thomas is seeking a Supervisor of Housing Services to oversee housing initiatives and supervise frontline staff in Housing Services.

You will implement programs, monitor performance, and support the Manager of Housing Services in strategic priorities. Responsibilities include staff supervision, training coordination, budget and reporting, and collaboration with external partners to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications

• University degree in Social Sciences in a related area such as Social Services, Social Work or Public Administration.
• 5+ years’ experience in a consolidated municipal service field, specifically in Housing, preferably in a leadership role.
• Experience leading programs for and working with vulnerable individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of and Housing Services unionized staff and involvement in hiring decisions.
• Administers staff training and ensures program standards are met.
• Coordinates training of staff and liaises with partners on policy and procedures.
• Allocates provincial funding to Non-profit Housing Providers for repairs to social housing properties.
