Job summary

RBC is seeking a Financial Planning Specialist to partner with Wealth Management advisors, delivering customized financial plans to high net worth clients in RBC Wealth Management. You will help with business development, opportunity spotting and revenue generation.

Based in Toronto, you will tailor plans across tax, retirement, estate planning and investments while leveraging tools like Conquest or Naviplan. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five years experience with tax planning for high net worth clients.
• Five years of relevant experience in all aspects of financial planning.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills.
• Microsoft Office and financial planning software such as Conquest or Naviplan.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive financial plans covering financial, investment, retirement, tax, risk and estate planning.
• Personalize plans with knowledge on holding companies, employee stock options, IPPs, retirement arrangements, gifts and charitable planning.
• Explain complex strategies clearly to advisors and clients.
• Collaborate with Financial Planning Analyst team in plan preparation.
• Promote an innovative, collaborative and diverse work environment.
• Develop internal and external networks and referral sources.
