Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking a qualified Highway Engineer to lead multidisciplinary highway and bridge design projects for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO). You will manage technical delivery, coordination with stakeholders, and project controls, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings a P.Eng license and 5+ years of highway design and project management experience within a consulting context, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to drive project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and licensure as P.Eng.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive highway design and project management experience.
• Experience delivering transportation projects in a consulting engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of Highway Engineering principles, regulations, and procedures.
• Proven ability to coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, utilities, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager and Highway Engineer for multidisciplinary highway/bridge design projects for MTO.
• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to engineers and staff.
• Lead design delivery for freeways, urban roads, interchanges, and intersections.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor performance, progress, and milestones to targets.
• Facilitate coordination across planning, design, and implementation phases.
