Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an Intermediate Bridge Engineer in Ottawa, ON to contribute to infrastructure design and rehabilitation projects. You will perform detailed structural design, conduct analyses, and collaborate across disciplines to meet project goals and client expectations.

The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree, P.Eng. license, and 5+ years of Ontario bridge design experience with MTO and municipal projects, plus proficiency in MIDAS and CSiBridge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
• 5+ years of Ontario bridge design experience (MTO/municipal).
• Proficient in structural analysis software (MIDAS/CSiBridge).
• Knowledge of MTO standards, CSA-S6, AASHTO/ARIMA codes.
• Contract administration support and design reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering products for bridge rehabilitation and new design.
• Conduct detailed structural design calculations and analysis.
• Collaborate across disciplines and manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Contribute to design reviews for bridges and rehabilitation.
• Support inspection, evaluation, and client interactions.
• Coordinate with highway, foundation, environmental, drainage disciplines.
• Assist in tender documents and compliance with codes.
