Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking a Senior Manager, Hedge Accounting & Financial Operations in Toronto. The role leads hedge accounting for derivatives, supports middle-office functions, and ensures IFRS 9 disclosures. You’ll collaborate with Treasury, Capital Markets, and Securitization teams to maintain accurate valuations and reporting.

Strong technical finance background and CPA are required. The position is hybrid, with office time at EQ Bank's Toronto space.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (CMA, CGA, CA) is required.
• 10+ years of experience at financial institutions including 3 years with an accounting firm.
• 1-3 years derivative accounting/valuation experience, including hedge accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage hedge accounting and fair value reporting for derivatives.
• Oversee middle/back-office settlements and valuations for securities and derivatives.
• Prepare monthly disclosures and ensure IFRS 9/IAS 39 compliance.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Capital Markets, and external auditors.
