GAMARC Consulting is looking for an Industrial Estimator (Heavy Industrial) to join our team in Canada. You will prepare accurate project cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and site conditions and support pre-construction planning and bid activities.

The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in industrial or heavy civil estimating, be proficient with HeavyBid and Excel, and understand MMCD standards and BC Building Code.

Formación

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• P.Eng. or eligible is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in construction estimating, with focus on industrial or heavy civil projects.
• Proficient in HeavyBid, Microsoft Excel, and project scheduling tools.
• Solid understanding of BC Building Code, MMCD standards, and contract types.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze project documentation to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and apply unit costs.
• Prepare complete bid packages with scope narratives and pricing.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and superintendents to validate estimates.
• Ensure estimates include overhead, contingency, and indirect costs.
• Attend handover meetings for seamless transition to operations.
• Provide ongoing cost analysis and benchmarking against performance.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and databases.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.
