Job summary

Leading Mechanical Contractor in Canada is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. The role focuses on new construction and retrofit projects, guiding estimates from concept through to delivery while ensuring schedule compliance and budget adherence.

You will refine estimating practices, manage cost databases, and collaborate with engineering, procurement and project controls to produce accurate piping, equipment, and installation estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 6+ years of related estimating or mechanical construction experience.
• Experience with estimating software and cost benchmarking tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specs to produce estimates.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Refine estimating practices and support continuous improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive mechanical estimates for piping systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams.
• Review plans and specifications to determine quantities and costs.
• Assist in bid preparation and tender submissions.
