Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Canada is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead large construction projects and act as the main client contact. You will guide project staff, ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget execution, and drive outcomes through strategic planning and effective leadership.

You will oversee daily operations, manage risks and changes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project results and continuous improvement across the program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in multi-discipline construction projects.
• Professional Engineering designation and/or Journeyperson certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology.
• Strong negotiation/management skills.
• Knowledge of financial aspects of project management including estimating, budgeting, cost controls, and reporting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs, and identify solutions to non-routine queries using both verbal and writing skills.
• Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
• A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching and consensus-building.
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire project staff while serving as main client contact.
• Oversee safety, health, and environmental protection on the project.
• Manage construction schedule with the project team to meet milestones.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and manage schedule and financial risks to optimize outcomes.
• Monitor performance via schedules, productivity and budget KPIs.
• Manage project changes and contractual risks.
• Track finances including forecasts and billings.
• Improve processes, training, and personnel management.
