Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Health Services Leader for Primary Health Care to guide the development and delivery of patient-centered, community-based primary care across the Central Zone. You will work with physicians, nurse practitioners and other health professionals to implement priorities and improve services.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare.
• Experience in primary health care, family medicine is an asset.
• Experience working with physicians, nurse practitioners and registered nurses is an asset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health determinants and community health needs.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of collaborative family practice across multiple sites.
• Assist in managing operational requirements and performance standards.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation.
• Foster strong relationships with physicians, nurses and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Zone NSH departments and partner agencies.
