Senior Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Coordinator

With 40 years of experience, we deliver solutions for energy, mining, infrastructure, and nuclear projects, emphasizing safety and quality. Our operations are based in Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto, with construction services across Canada.

We are seeking a qualified HSE Coordinator to join our Corporate Services team in Calgary, AB. The role involves supporting the HSE Manager in implementing and maintaining the health, safety, and environmental management system (HSEMS), assisting with daily HSE functions at the corporate and project levels.

The ideal candidate will have training, knowledge, and experience in construction HSE procedures, and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, including management, clients, subcontractors, and workers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and update corporate HSE standards based on legislative requirements.
2. Prepare and distribute HSE reports regularly.
3. Create and publish monthly HSE bulletins.
4. Participate in and document meetings and inspections.
5. Assist with HSE audits, training, and claims management.
6. Maintain HSE documentation and databases.
7. Support emergency response and develop HSE applications using PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
8. Monitor competency assessments and support drug testing arrangements.
9. Mentor colleagues and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of Occupational Health & Safety experience.
• At least 3 years of administrative experience.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation.
• OH&S or NCSO certification is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power BI, and willingness to learn new systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
