Job summary

Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness seeks a Senior Legislative Policy Analyst to lead regulatory and policy work within the Health Workforce Policy and Partnerships team. You will design and implement regulations, engage with regulatory bodies, and develop policy options aligned with health-system transformation priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in policy or related field with 8+ years in policy work.
• Experience designing, developing, reviewing or implementing policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Research best practices in health profession regulation and government oversight.
• Liaise with Nova Scotia's health profession regulatory bodies on issues and initiatives.
• Prepare briefing notes and correspondence for senior officials.
• Collaborate to develop policy options and provide strategic recommendations.
• Monitor legislation affecting health profession regulation.
