This is a role built for someone early in their career who's eager to learn and ready to take on real design responsibility.

What you'll do:

  • Analyze requirements, create schematics, select components, and build prototypes.
  • Hand off circuit designs to the Test Jig team and support the PCB layout process.
  • Document your designs and support the software team on hardware-related tasks.
  • Help bring products through production.
  • Track your work in Jira and Confluence, and keep the team updated on progress.

What you'll learn here:

  • The full product lifecycle, from concept to a certified, shipping product.
  • Power supplies, battery charging, mixed-signal design, and PCB layout, with mentorship along the way.
  • How real hardware gets validated, certified, and manufactured at scale.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g. STM32, ESP) and reading schematics.
  • A cost-conscious mindset and genuine curiosity about how things work.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English for communication with customers and suppliers across Canada and the USA.

Nice to have:

  • Coursework, projects, or internship exposure to power supplies or battery chargers.
  • Exposure to PCB layout tools.
