Type of contract: Permanent / Full-time

Localization: St-Eustache (Rive-Nord) / 100% on site

Languages: English (mandatory), French an asset

Akkodis is looking for a Hardware Designer for its client, a leader in security systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform requirement analysis, concept creation, prototype building, and schematics component selection, proof of concept.
  2. Design, validate, test, evaluate performance, and transfer electronic circuits to production.
  3. Supervise the PCB layout process.
  4. Document the design-related aspects.
  5. Support the software development team on hardware-related tasks.
  6. Support legacy products in terms of production.
  7. Communicate relevant information and progress to superiors.
  8. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for changes.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 10 years of experience in hardware electronic design.
  2. Experience designing analog circuits (AC or DC power supplies, current sensing, protection), with power circuits (AC-DC, DC-DC, Charging).
  3. Knowledge in video processing, displays, audio processing, industrial controllers, or PCB design (advantage).
  4. Understanding of communication protocols.
  5. MCU basic software skills.
  6. Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  7. Experience in managing teams (advantage).
  8. Must be able to communicate properly in English with customers and suppliers.
