Job summary

Akkodis is partnering with a leading Canadian insurer to identify a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong Guidewire PolicyCenter expertise. The role focuses on gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter enhancements across the policy lifecycle including quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and servicing.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
• Strong experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
• Deep understanding of insurance policy administration processes.
• Experience supporting policy lifecycle functions such as: Quoting, Underwriting, Policy issuance, Renewals, Endorsements, and Cancellations
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across both business and technical teams

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions across business and technology teams
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
• Support Guidewire PolicyCenter enhancements and transformation initiatives
• Analyze impacts to business processes, integrations, data, and downstream applications
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and QA teams throughout delivery
• Participate in solution design discussions and requirements validation
• Support test planning, user acceptance testing, and production readiness activities
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and user experience
• Act as a trusted advisor between business stakeholders and delivery teams
