Job summary

Cognizant Canada seeks a Senior Guidewire & Digital Integration Developer to join our Claims Digital Delivery team. You will lead Guidewire development and build API-driven digital experiences across mobile apps, web portals, and backend claims systems.

You will collaborate with Digital Product, Mobile, and Web teams, implement integrations with Guidewire ClaimsCenter and enterprise repositories, and provide production support.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Guidewire & Digital Integration Developer to join our Claims Digital Delivery team. This role will be focused primarily on supporting and enhancing customer-facing digital experiences across mobile applications, web portals, and API-driven claims solutions. The successful candidate will serve as the team's primary Guidewire resource while also developing and supporting integrations that connect digital channels to backend claims systems.

The individual will work across the end-to-end digital claims journey, including First Notice of Loss (FNOL), document submission, claims status interactions, customer self-service capabilities, and integrations with Guidewire Claim center and enterprise document repositories. The role requires a strong blend of Guidewire expertise, API development experience, and an understanding of modern digital platforms.

Digital Applications & Customer Experience (Primary Focus)

• Develop and support APIs that power customer-facing mobile applications and web portals.
• Enable seamless digital claims experiences, including FNOL, document uploads, claim inquiries, and self-service capabilities.
• Work closely with Digital Product, Mobile, and Web development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
• Design and implement integrations between digital platforms, Guidewire ClaimsCenter, and enterprise services.
• Support document and content management integrations used for claim-related submissions such as photos, invoices, and supporting documentation.

Guidewire Development & Configuration (60%)

• Serve as the primary Guidewire ClaimsCenter developer within the team.
• Configure and enhance claims workflows, validations, activities, notes, and business rules.
• Collaborate with downstream claims and platform teams across the broader Guidewire ecosystem.
• Perform impact analysis, technical design, and production support activities.

API & Integration Development (40%)

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Build Java/Spring Boot services supporting digital claims capabilities.
• Integrate mobile and web applications with Guidewire, document repositories, and enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 88,000 – CAD 117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
