Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Lead Developer to design, develop, and support scalable claims solutions on the Guidewire Cloud Platform. • 12+ years of technology experience including 8+ years hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter development.
• Strong expertise with Guidewire Studio, Gosu, PCF, entities, typelists, business rules, workflows, plugins, and data model extensions.
• Experience designing and developing ClaimCenter integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging frameworks, batch processing, and plugins.
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance and end-to-end claims lifecycle.
• Experience participating in at least one full Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation, modernization, or upgrade.
• Proficiency with OO programming, XML, JSON, SQL, and web services.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Lead Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting scalable claims solutions on the Guidewire Cloud Platform. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology team and work collaboratively with business analysts, product owners, claims stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support critical business operations.

In This Role, You Will:

• Lead production support and maintenance activities for Guidewire ClaimCenter, driving continuous improvement, automation, and platform stability.
• Design, configure, develop, test, and implement Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions, including claims workflows, business rules, integrations, and user interface components.
• Build and enhance solutions using Guidewire Studio, Gosu, PCF, entities, typelists, plugins, and data model extensions.
• Design and implement integrations with internal and third-party applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging frameworks, plugins, and batch processes.
• Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex production issues, and mentor development team members while ensuring adherence to quality, security, and performance standards.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• Strong expertise with Guidewire Studio, Gosu, PCF, entities, typelists, business rules, workflows, plugins, and data model extensions.
• Experience designing and developing ClaimCenter integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging frameworks, batch processing, and plugins.
• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance and the end-to‑end claims lifecycle, including reserves, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation, and claim closure.
• Experience participating in at least one full Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation, modernization program, or major platform upgrade.
• Proficiency with object‑oriented programming, XML, JSON, SQL, and web service technologies.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and successfully deliver in a fast‑paced, distributed team environment.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Guidewire ClaimCenter Certification.
• Guidewire Cloud Certification or hands‑on Guidewire Cloud implementation experience.
• Experience leading ClaimCenter upgrades, cloud migrations, or modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to other Guidewire InsuranceSuite products, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactManager, and DataHub.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform, Integration Gateway, and related cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other enterprise cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven, or Gradle.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and software quality engineering practices.
• Understanding of insurance regulatory, security, audit, and data privacy requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 88,000 – CAD 117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
