Job summary

Wave is seeking a Group Product Manager, Financial Services to lead Wave/SMB’s payments capabilities and broader financial services experiences that help small businesses move, manage, and trust their money.

This role coordinates Product Managers across payments acceptance and processing, platform modernization, risk and fraud mitigation, and future financial services capabilities, with a focus on reliability and customer trust.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, fintech focus preferred.
• 5+ years leading product teams at Group level or above.
• Strong knowledge of payments acquiring, processing, fraud controls, and partnerships.
• Experience with compliant onboarding and risk management in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Define and own product vision for Financial Services in the SMB suite.
• Lead platform modernization, payments infra migration, reduce fraud exposure, improve reliability.
• Own uptime and observability commitments for payments surfaces with Engineering/Data teams.
• Collaborate with Fraud/Risk Ops, Compliance, and Security to meet regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Tax to integrate payments workflows into the SMB experience.
• Manage stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Security, Marketing.
