Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group is based in the Toronto region and operates on a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work three days per week, with two remote days for flexibility.

The role focuses on utility planning and advisory projects, including transmission studies, generator interconnection modeling, and ISO/utility client guidance using PSS/E, PSLF, and TARA. We value experience in power systems and collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree not required.
• Minimum 6 years power systems engineering experience.
• Experience in load flow and contingency analysis.
• Experience using transmission planning software for load flow modeling, contingency analysis, and stability analysis (PSS/E, PSLF, TARA).

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission system planning and analysis for utility projects.
• Prepare generator interconnection applications and modeling.
• Review ISO feasibility and system impact studies and provide guidance.
