Job summary

Casting a long-term view across the Prairie Region, C.B. Constantini Ltd. seeks a Senior Grain Merchandiser to own a growth-driven segment within our North American trading desk.

You will build high-trust relationships with customers and suppliers, negotiate effectively, and close opportunities in a fast, collaborative market. You will liaise with our Vancouver Head Office, potentially working remotely or from the Saskatoon office, and contribute to profitable decision-making and risk management

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in physical commodity trading, buying, or merchandising.
• Exceptional negotiation, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain extensive business relationships within an assigned marketplace.
• Actively drive business growth by developing relationships with new customers and suppliers, in existing and new product categories.
• Negotiate purchase and/or sales contracts with customers and/or suppliers, and ensure all contracts are properly executed.
• Manage risk by making recommendations on short/long positions, and executing these positions within defined risk parameters.
• Monitor and set examples of “Best in Class” customer service levels.
• Model an internal culture of professionalism, healthy competition and collaboration.

We now have an immediate opening for a Senior Grain Merchandiser (Prairie Region) to join our growing North American Trading Desk. Our ideal candidate will have an established presence in the Prairie Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba), with the option to work remotely or from our Saskatoon Office.

Job Summary

Liaising directly with our Vancouver-based Head Office, the Senior Grain Merchandiser (Prairie Region) will take ownership, oversee, strategize, and grow the profitability of their assigned area within our current book of business. You will represent the Constantini brand using your exceptional relationship building skills, integrity, and competitive nature to qualify, negotiate and close sales in a collaborative and quick cycle environment.
