Job summary

The Canadian Red Cross in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Officer, Government and Stakeholder Relations to lead engagements with federal, provincial and municipal partners.

You will draft policy communications in English and French, map government stakeholders, support events, and monitor parliamentary developments, while ensuring timely, accurate outreach and advocacy aligned with CRC priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in stakeholder/government relations or public policy.
• Experience with federal, provincial or municipal levels is an asset.
• Bilingual (French and English) required.
• Strong networking and partnership development skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Draft correspondence and communications for government stakeholders in English and French.
• Develop and maintain mapping of government stakeholders.
• Support event planning and engagement opportunities.
• Prepare environmental scans and analyses of government and parliamentary activity.
• Support management of federal files and conduct research.
• Attend external meetings and events as needed.
