Agilus by Synergie in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Tax Reporting Specialist to lead the global income tax reporting and tax provision for a energy sector client. This in-office role collaborates with Finance and external auditors to ensure accurate tax reporting and disclosures under IFRS and ASC 740.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA or equivalent and have 5+ years of tax experience, including multinational exposure.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or equivalent accounting/tax background preferred.
• 5+ years of tax reporting, tax provision, or corporate tax experience.
• Strong experience with ASC 740 tax provisions and IFRS/IAS 12.
• Experience in public accounting or large corporate tax environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Global or multinational tax reporting experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process.
• Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations and related disclosures.
• Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS 12, and ASC 740.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support tax-related audits.
• Identify process improvements, manage tax risks, and support internal controls.
