Kinaxis Inc. in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations across Canada, the United States, and multiple international jurisdictions. You will serve as the payroll SME for legislation, taxation, benefits, remittances, and audits, partnering with HR, Finance, and external providers.

The role is hybrid, based in Ottawa, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvements in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll experience in progressively responsible roles.
• Extensive experience processing payroll in Canada.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and taxation.
• Experience with year-end processing and statutory reporting.
• Payroll reconciliations, accounting entries, and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls for Canada, the United States, and international entities.
• Validate inputs, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits, including bonuses and stock transactions.
• Review outputs, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely payroll approvals.
• Support hires, terminations, leaves, promotions, and compensation changes.
• Coordinate payroll changes with local providers and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations and journal entries for GL.
