Qualifications

• Proven experience in seismic hazard assessment, liquefaction analysis, and foundation design for heavy structures.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
• Strong understanding of international and South African geotechnical standards and codes.
• Excellent analytical, report writing, and communication skills.

Our client, a leader in resource development, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support both Mining and Energy Projects in the Northern Cape . This role requires extensive expertise in assessing ground conditions, advising on foundation design, and managing geological risks for large-scale infrastructure and resource extraction operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of complex projects from the initial site investigation phase through to construction and operation, contributing to the responsible development of critical resources in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including site characterization, soil testing, and rock mechanics analysis.
• Provide expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, earthworks, and tunneling for mining and energy infrastructure projects.
