Job summary

Pinchin Ltd in Mississauga, Ontario, seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects and mentor junior staff. You will oversee planning, execution, and client coordination for complex site conditions, and contribute to business growth while ensuring technical excellence.

The role requires 10–15 years’ experience, a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario or eligible, and strong knowledge of geotechnical design and Ontario standards. Travel across Ontario will be necessary.

Qualifications

University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineering designation in Ontario or eligible to register.
10–15 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
Experience with geotechnical design, foundations, slope stability, earthworks and related issues.
Working knowledge of Ontario standards and guidelines for geotechnical projects.
Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, proposals, cost estimates and client communications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and geotechnical software.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage geotechnical projects from planning through execution.
Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence.
Support business development through client communication and relationships.
Provide technical direction during construction and review geotechnical reports and proposals.
Collaborate with other Pinchin service lines for integrated solutions.
