Job summary

Cansel Group of Companies is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in survey and GIS to lead complex geospatial and infrastructure projects across Canada. The role emphasizes hands-on project execution, cross-functional coordination, and delivering GIS-ready outputs while maintaining QA/QC standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in PM for surveying/GIS, PMP preferred, and proficiency with data workflows, FME, and Trimble systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management for survey and GIS projects.
PMP certification preferred.
Strong technical depth and ability to translate geospatial data into insights.
Experience with mobile mapping systems and asset extraction workflows.
Fluent in English and French preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Survey and GIS teams to assess client requirements and scope projects.
Define objectives, deliverables and timelines aligned with client goals.
Oversee execution, allocate resources, and ensure QA/QC standards.
Provide guidance on GIS tools and Trimble survey workflows.
Manage budgets, schedules, and milestones for on-time delivery.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
Conduct regular reviews, update stakeholders and mitigate risks.
Support integration of GIS solutions into existing workflows.
