Job summary

Vanta is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Canada. You will lead and mentor engineers, drive significant product and infrastructure initiatives, and set technical direction to scale our platform. You’ll work with a talented team delivering high-value features while growing with the company.

You’ll contribute to a fast-paced environment, have the opportunity to impact a security-focused product, and be part of a growing organization with remote-friendly policies and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• Experience leading technical teams or complex projects.
• Prior startup experience or bias for action.
• Experience with greenfield projects.
• Interest in security domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects with multiple engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.
• Set direction for critical technical areas to support rapid growth.
• Design and own new product functionality and infrastructure using modern frameworks (TypeScript, React, Node.js).
• Collaborate with engineers to improve security and customer outcomes.
• Contribute to engineering culture as the team scales.
