Job summary

Miovision is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive end-to-end development of intelligent transportation systems. You will work across the full stack, leveraging Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, Spring Boot, and distributed microservices with Kafka, Debezium, and Pub/Sub.

Strong cloud (AWS) and Docker experience are expected as you scale IoT data pipelines and real-time applications. You will mentor peers, review code, and influence architecture while collaborating with product managers,

• Extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-impact, full-stack software solutions.
• Proven track record of building distributed microservices with real-time data streaming.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Python, TS, and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Ownership: Develop, test, deploy, and maintain product-level code across the entire codebase, taking total ownership of critical features and high-impact projects.

• Architect & Influence: Lead technical design discussions and drive significant architectural improvements to boost system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Complex Problem Solving: Triage, debug, and rapidly resolve intricate system issues, tracing root causes across the entire ecosystem—from hardware to networks and services.

• System Optimization: Continuously evaluate the performance, cost, and scalability of live systems, proactively refactoring legacy code to ensure seamless growth.

• Agile Collaboration: Work cross-functionally in dynamic agile sprints alongside product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to guarantee development perfectly aligns with business objectives.

• Quality Champion: Conduct thorough code reviews, providing sharp, constructive feedback that ensures strict adherence to best practices, performance optimization, and maintainability.

• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Evolve technical documentation and actively mentor junior team members and co-op students, keeping technical clarity a top priority as the organization scales.

• The Full-Stack Veteran: You bring extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-impact, full-stack software solutions.

• The Polyglot Programmer: You boast strong proficiency in Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, Spring Boot or related languages with a proven track record of developing robust, scalable applications.

• The Event-Driven Architect: You have deep expertise in building distributed microservices utilizing Apache Kafka, Debezium (for Change Data Capture), and robust Pub/Sub architectures for real-time communications.

• The Cloud & Container Pro: You possess proven mastery of AWS cloud-managed applications and are highly experienced with container orchestration using Docker.

• The IoT & Data Master: You excel at managing complex IoT systems and large-scale datasets, bringing strong knowledge of data pipelines (Snowflake) and real-time caching solutions (Redis).
