Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with full-stack JavaScript experience to join the Central Technology Web Development team supporting Corporate Marketing. The role focuses on updating web-based marketing platforms, building new systems, and maintaining existing applications using Vue/Nuxt, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.

You will work on SSR/universal apps, contribute to design-system patterns, and collaborate with product, design, and content teams to deliver high-quality,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with a focus on full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue, Nuxt, React, Next.js, Angular, or similar.
• Familiarity with server-side rendered, statically generated, or universal JavaScript applications.
• Solid understanding of browser fundamentals, including rendering, JavaScript execution, caching, networking, accessibility, and performance.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills, including asynchronous programming, modular code, package management, and modern build tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack web applications using Vue.js, Nuxt 3, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
• Build and maintain server-side rendered and universal web applications with attention to routing, hydration, caching, and performance.
• Create reusable front-end components and contribute to component libraries and design-system patterns.
• Build and maintain Node.js-based APIs, middleware, and service integrations with headless CMS, analytics, and third-party platforms.
• Contribute to AI-enabled marketing workflows, including content creation, migration, schema mapping, personalization, experimentation, and automation.
• Support production-quality delivery through testing, debugging, monitoring, accessibility, SEO, security, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
