Job summary

Article is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Application + Data) in Vancouver to design, build, deploy, and operate software across the full stack. You will own end-to-end solutions, from frontend UX to backend services and data pipelines, in a fast-paced omni-channel retail context.

You will work with Vue.js, TypeScript, React, Java, and cloud infrastructure on AWS, contributing to scalable architectures, data models, and automated testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience developing backend services in Java.
• Experience building web applications using Vue.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with eCommerce or high-traffic customer-facing applications.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate complete software solutions across frontend, backend, and data pipelines.
• Develop customer-facing and internal web applications using Vue.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Build backend applications, APIs, integrations, and services using Java.
• Design relational and NoSQL data models, event-driven workflows, and scalable service architectures.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Databricks.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS with DynamoDB and Kafka.
• Build automated tests and CI/CD pipelines while monitoring production systems.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to translate needs into releases.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and engineering standards.
