Job summary

AltaML Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain production-grade tools and ETL pipelines for the Brilliant Harvest platform.

You will work closely with the Head of AI on Document Ingestion and a RAG-based AI Assistant, from data pipelines to LLM integration. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems and delivering ideas from concept to production in AI-enabled agriculture solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a full stack or backend developer with strong ETL skills.
• Efficient use of LLM tooling and APIs.
• Proficient in C#, with strong .NET Core knowledge and EF Core.
• Experience with unit and API testing (xUnit, Postman, or equivalents).
• Experience in agile environments (Azure DevOps) and Git workflows.
• Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code and production-ready features.
• Experience taking ideas from conception to production.
• Experience with LLM-based applications (GPT API), LangChain, VectorDBs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain prototypes and products.
• Develop ETL tools for data extraction and ingestion.
• Collaborate with AI Architect to enhance Document Ingestion and RAG AI Assistant.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Analyze business requirements, provide design recommendations, and estimate effort.
• Review technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Work in cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Contribute to continuous practice improvements.
