Job summary

AltaML is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Edmonton to lead complex features, own end-to-end technical design, and mentor engineers. You will drive AI-first practices, run technical sessions with clients, and contribute to reusable components and libraries within the pod.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, proven use of AI coding tools like Claude Code, and strong design and collaboration skills to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering or lead roles.
• Experience using AI coding tools to speed delivery.
• Strong system design, testing, and mentorship instincts.
• Comfort engaging with clients and stakeholders on technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of medium-to-large features or epics, decomposing work for others.
• Own technical design for self-contained or multi-service solutions.
