Job summary

Themesoft Inc. in Toronto is seeking a Technology Specialist who designs and builds scalable Java-based REST microservices and modern web apps using React or Angular with TypeScript.

You will orchestrate data workflows, write optimized SQL, participate in unit testing and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, perform code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java-based REST microservices and modern web apps using React/Angular with TypeScript.
• Orchestrate data workflows with Apache Airflow and write optimized ANSI SQL; ensure quality via automated tests.
• Design technical solutions and reusable components aligned with business requirements.
• Define system interfaces across components, perform code reviews, and make resource-based decisions.
• Develop code, write unit tests, practice TDD, and coordinate QE testing.
• Provide estimates for design, coding and unit testing activities.
• Coordinate with BA, QE and PM teams.
• Create technical documentation and training material.
• Ensure product quality via code reviews, unit tests, SonarQube, SAST/DAST and docs.
• Perform performance tuning if required.

Job Description:

• Technology Specialist involves designing and developing scalable Java based REST microservices and modern web applications using React or Angular with TypeScript.
• The specialist will orchestrate data workflows with Apache Airflow, write optimized ANSI SQL, and ensure quality through automated testing and CI CD using GitHub and GitHub Actions while mentoring peers and supporting business critical solutions.
• Design technical solutions and code application programs aligned with business requirements and project deliverables including component reusability
• System design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews and making decisions depending on resources/data/infrastructure availability/accessibility
• Develop code, write unit tests, TDD and provide coordination and support for QE testing
• Provide estimates on activities/tasks required to perform design, coding and unit testing
• Coordinates and provides input to BA, QE and PM teams
• Complete technical documentation and training material
• Ensure quality and completeness of the product through code review, unit testing, SonarQube, NexusIQ, SAST, DAST and documentation
• Perform performance tuning, in case required
